Want you hair long again? And a little explanation...

I love hair extensions, I don't know too many women who don't! There are so many different types out there, below you will find two of these different types. I'll explain as best I can on how each type is used, I'm a hairstylist! Please if you have any questions, feel free to ask me in the comments box below!!

You can view more hair extension types HERE this will open in a new window, so that you can come back to this page!

Clip in's : Are fast and easy to put in, but you do have to practice a bit with them before you can get their placements just right for your head! You do need to get use to using them if you are placing them in yourself.

How these work:

Starting at the lower part of your head (back of neck/hairline/nape) take a one inch partings and clip or tie the rest of your hair up out of the way. Tease(back comb) the section, very close to the skin(so the clip will hold/stay better), once that section is teased, click each clip for the piece. As close as you can to the line(parting line), and make sure it is lined up with the back of your hair (left to right) so it fits best.

You will continue to do this up the back of your head until you are at the top/rounded part of your (aka-the parietal ridge)head, each section will have a different width of weft that reaches around a certain amount of your head. You'll be able to judge that. The sides will have the smallest wefts/amount of clips.

For easier instruction I'll just write up a tutorial later with pictures!

Tape in's : Aren't so easy to put in and they take some time! However, they blend in so well, no one would notice the difference. If you were to get tape in extensions, get them done in a salon, a stylist is trained to do this!

How these work:

If you look at the image below (which you can also view the product by clicking), you see a white strip, that strip comes off and it has a two sided sticky residue that adherers to your head, attached closest to the scalp. The sticky stuff sticks to the hair, and it is clear, so that is why it blends so well (where with clip in's sometimes you can see them protruding out of different parts of the hair), they lay flat to the head because of the way they are applied.

Thanks for visiting!! I hope you enjoyed all of the information above, I explained as best I could, but I feel it will be easier to put a bunch of stuff together as a tutorial on how to apply hair extensions.
